Project Overview

Objective:1. Isolation, purification and preservation of myxobacteria from different ecological niches of India.
2: Identification and characterization of Myxobacteria using classical and modern taxonomic methods.
3: Whole Genome sequencing and in silica analysis to estimate the biosynthetic potential of the isolates in terms of their secondary metabolite gene clusters (i.e. NRPS, PKS etc).
