About

A significant portion of deaths from NCD, the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in India, is preventable. However, 40% of NCD cases lead to premature deaths largely due to lack of availability, accessibility, and affordability of healthcare in remote, rural and underserved areas. The project aims to develop a system solution for delivering equitable healthcare to the general population. The solution includes – 1) a user-friendly device integrated with telemedicine software connected to a cloud framework where patient’s historical data will be securely stored, 2) Analytic tools for facilitating early detection for timely intervention by medical experts and generating insight on public health for formulating national health policies. The PHC will be potentially transformed into a hub for specialist’s care, thus slowing disease progression and preventing co-morbidities. Public healthcare delivery system is likely to get rejuvenated, reducing the cost of wage loss, patient mobilization and patient load at the specialized hospitals.
