Project Overview

Regulation of nuclear transcription factor, ?Np63? by miR-203 has been reported in skin keratinocytes. In our investigation in non keratinized LESCs, we also report similar findings and have shown marked reduction in ?Np63? expression level after ectopic expression of miR-203. Moreover functionally the colony forming efficiency of miR-203 transfected cultured primary limbal epithelial cells were found to be reduced drastically. By repressing miR-203 with antagomicR treatment the colony forming efficiency has been rescued, and ?Np63? expression level was found to be high.
