Project Overview
New compound alpha keto pimelic acid (KPA) has been assayed for inhibition of dapA. This compound displays time-dependent inhibition and kinetic studies show this inhibitor act as a competitive inhibitor against substrate pyruvate that has not previously been observed for inhibition of dapA. Therefore, this scaffold could have the potential to inhibit Mtb dapA would represent promising starting point as lead compound and certainly aid the experimental designing of antitubercular in lesser time.
