Project Overview

Objective: To reconstruct spatial variability in monsoon during the Pleistocene. To understand the influence of mid-Pleistocene transition on productivity in the northern Indian Ocean. To reconstruct change, if any, in weathering and erosion pattern in the Indian subcontinent, in response to mid-Pleistocene transition. To reconstruct long-term pattern of north-south migration of inter-tropical convergence zone during the Quaternar.
