Objective: Development of mitochondrial antioxidants through conjugation ofbioactive natural products with triphenylphosphonium (TPP). Evaluation of synthesized TPP complexes for their beneficial properties against aging associated oxidative stress employing in vitro and in vivo models emphasizing mitochondrial pathway. Elucidation of molecular mechanisms mediated through mitochondrial pathway for therapeutic benefit. Exploration of the possibilities for product development in collaboration with industries.
