About
The objectives of this study are:
1. To understand the gassing tendency with ester based oils, as insulant in transformers using dissolved gas analysis
2. To prepare nano fluids with mineral oil and ester based oil to arrive at suitable nano mineral oil and suitable nano ester oil with enhanced breakdown strength and thermal conductivity and to obtain its gassing tendency and classification of faults.
3. New database be developed to evaluate the cause for dissolved gas formed in transformer oil /ester oil by using dissolved gas analysis and by measure of various ageing markers like Total Acid Number (TAN), Total Base Number (TBN), oxidation, nitration and sulfation indices, moisture, antiwear content, dielectric constant, thermal stability, and composition of oil, and unravel mechanism of ageing and to classify the type of fault.
