About
The first aim is to bring substitution at the naphthalene rings and introduce imide functionalities at the remaining peri-positions. This will allow access to the diverse and rich chemistry of naphthalene diimides and perylene diimides. The next goal is to manipulate the chromophore groups. This will give maturity to the newly developed chemistry PNI by making various derivatives and exploring their potential applications as organic materials and provide a new class of organic materials for various modern-day applications.
