About
Assessing body condition and stress level would shed better light on relationship among HEC, habitat, stress and body condition. The findings from this study would provide comprehensive information on the drivers of HEC and influence HEC on stress level and body condition, and thus on reproductive fitness, which are crucial for planning their conservation. This would ultimately safeguard the biodiversity and thus economic growth. This study is proposed ‘on evaluating the drivers of HEC and its influence on body condition and stress level among free-ranging elephants in NBR, southern India’.
