About
Diabesity is a health condition used to describe the incidences of diabetes associated with obesity. Diabesity is a major health concern and is a risk factor for the development of the disease comorbidities like cardiovascular diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases, cancers, fatty liver diseases, kidney diseases, etc. This study aims at: (1) Identification of CRELD2 expression pattern in the livers obtained from multiple models of diabesity, (2) Evaluation of the role of hepatic CRELD2 as a metabolic regulator, (3) Delineation of CRELD2-dependant molecular pathways leading to diabesity, and (4) Identification of the human relevance to the study.
