About
The project proposes the development of bio-inspired self-healing hydrogel systems for potential biomedical applications, including wound healing, antibacterial efficiency, and hemostasis. The hydrogel systems consist of two components, based on biodegradable biopolymer derivatives with complementary functionality. The cyto-compatibility of the systems will be investigated through in-vitro cell cytotoxicity studies. The hydrogels could be used for wound dressing, tissue regeneration, and hydrogel patches for severe wound closure, with the goal of maintaining proper moisture.
