This proposal proposes an input-output-based resolution analysis for flat plate boundary layer flow under periodic blowing and suction to determine optimal forcings to delay turbulence transition. The study aims to develop robust control strategies that can be targeted to other types of flows. The results will be verified through actual experiments in wind tunnels, and direct numerical simulations for non-modal mechanisms. The proposal also aims to obtain a deep mechanistic understanding of control through modal mechanisms.
