About
This proposal aims to study the non-invasive extraction of muscle activity recruitment from humans performing reach and saccade tasks, focusing on motor planning patterns. The research will use high density surface EMG activity to characterize motor unit recruitment patterns, test stochastic accumulation models to link motor recruitment to movement initiation and control, and use non-invasive neuro-stimulation to test the role of the prefrontal cortex in flexible sensorimotor gating of muscle activity recruitment.
