Project Overview
Chemical control of agricultural pests is a common practice worldwide, but its negative environmental and health impacts are concerning. This research aims to develop sustainable, cost-effective biocontrol strategies that contain agricultural pests and disease-carrying vector populations. Combining biological control strategies, such as classical biological control (CBC), ionizing radiation-based SIT, RIDL technique, Trojan female technique, and Wolbachia technique, is hypothesized to be more effective.
