About
Two-stage drop-the-losers design (DLD) is a statistical technique used in clinical trials to evaluate the effectiveness of active treatments. It consists of two stages: Stage I, which identifies less promising treatments, and Stage II, which includes patients assigned to the treatment group. This design reduces patient numbers, saves time and resources, and minimizes the risk of ineffective treatment. The proposal aims to integrate selection procedures, efficient estimation, and decision-theoretic techniques.
