About
This proposal aims to develop machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms for identifying, classifying, and analyzing transient and variable sources in the sky. A consortium of investigators from three BRICS countries will search for new transients and variable sources, creating an exhaustive catalogue for the astronomical community. The data, algorithms, and outputs will be analyzed collectively to better understand the interplay of dominant physical processes in the studied sources. The mutual exchange of analysis techniques will broaden knowledge and refine skills related to big-data handling and deep learning processes. The proposal also plans to engage interested amateurs through regular outreach activities.
