About
The proposed project aims to develop a novel coating formulation using natural polyphenol tannic acid, tailor-made polyurethane, and 2D-nanomaterial MXenes for synergistic triple-mode antibacterial action. This coating will tether MXenes and antibiotics on implant surfaces, promoting multiple drug resistance (MDR) and tissue regeneration at a low cost. Current therapeutics are ineffective due to adverse toxic side effects and multiple drug resistance (MDR) infections.
