Project Overview

This project aims to develop a synthetic protocol for lithium and sodium silicate sorbents with controllable morphology and textural properties, enabling high CO2 capture capacity, kinetics, and stability. It uses surface-enhanced ex and in-situ solid-state NMR SSNMR spectroscopy to study molecular-level, gas-solid interfaces and surface chemistry of acidic gases, primarily CO2, on industrially promising sorbents. The goal is to synthesize industry-ready high-temperature CO2 sorbents.
