About

India is facing significant challenges due to increasing climate risk, particularly in hydroclimatic extremes caused by anthropogenic warming. These extremes have caused significant damage to agriculture and infrastructure, leading to significant mortality. A critical gap exists in understanding climate change risk, adaptation, and resilience in water, agriculture, and infrastructure sectors. A proposed center aims to fill these gaps by mapping climate risks, developing databases, and establishing a climate risk assessment framework. The center will focus on capacity building, training, and outreach, collaborating with national and international organizations.
