About
The proposal combines the expertise of India's Dr. Rajesh Kumar and Argentina's Dr. Diego E Alvarez, who have 13 years of experience in developing therapeutic monoclonal antibodies against infectious diseases. The team aims to develop reliable methods for mapping antibody specificities and transfer reagents and technical expertise between laboratories. The focus is on the Chikungunya virus, a major health concern in both countries, and the potential role of neutralizing antibodies (NAbs) in immunotherapy. The proposal will use a recombinant phage display approach to isolate monoclonal antibodies against the virus's E2 protein.
