Project Overview
This research proposal proposes the development of novel 3D bioprinted photonic devices for biomedical applications, including biosensors for human health assessment, smart wound dressings, and brain-computer interfaces (BCI). The proposal involves three research teams from Brazil, China, and India, combining complementary and multidisciplinary approaches. The Brazilian team will develop a smart dressing with antimicrobial properties, while the Indian team will detect healing parameters and develop nanofabrication of photonic devices. The Chinese team will develop flexible 3D bioprinting waveguides for BCI applications. The proposed approaches are considered core technologies for the next generation of photonic devices for biomedical applications.
