Project Overview
National Mathematics Day is celebrated annually on December 22nd to honor the birth anniversary of mathematician Sir Srinivas Ramanujan and his significant contributions to mathematics. The day aims to promote learning and understanding of mathematics, provide a platform for young teachers, and highlight the importance of science in everyday life. On February 28th, it honors Indian scientist Sir Chandrasekhara VENKATA RAMAN, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. The day also encourages science outreach activities and dissemination of scientific knowledge.
