Research Projects

The project aims to celebrate National Science Day 2024 in Mizoram, generate scientific awareness among students and the general public, and provide a platform for sharing experiences and expertise in science technology. It also aims to popularize mathematics to remove math phobia and strengthen learning capabilities. Activities include a state-level mathematics competition, a mathematics summer camp, and lectures. The project is part of a nationwide campaign on ST communication initiated by NCSTC, aiming to inculcate scientific attitudes and promote awareness of the benefits and risks of science and technology.

National Science Day will be observed on February 28, 2024, at district headquarters in Mizoram. Activities include seminars, workshops, quiz contests, science exposure tours, and popular lecture demonstrations. The theme will be selected by the Department of Science Technology, Govt. of India. The main celebration will be held in Aizawl, with other districts also participating. A television show featuring university professors, scientists, and NGO panels will be telecasted to increase participation and awareness. The council plans to organize a popular lecture demonstration and other activities.>/p>
