Research Projects

Schools play a crucial role in educating students about emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). This project aims to create awareness and interest in AI among secondary and higher secondary school children in select districts of Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamilnadu. The outreach activities will include lectures, interactive learning, demonstrations, hands-on workshops, educational material development, and partnering with school teachers. The children-centric outreach program will focus on learning by doing, introducing students to AI and real-world applications in Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Robotics. The program will also involve hands-on experiments, group activities, and assessments. The direct beneficiaries of the program will be secondary and higher secondary school students, while indirect beneficiaries include teachers and research associates. The project will also benefit research associates and research assistants, enhancing their teaching capabilities. The expected outcomes include creating awareness to around 3000 school children and 300 students actively participating in developing innovative AI technologies.
