About
Sutures and staples are essential in medical surgery but have disadvantages like time consumption and inadequate sealing. Adhesive hydrogels, a three-dimensional polymer network, can be used for tissue adhesion due to their high water content and mechanical strength. The research aims to combine Alginic acid with Tannic acid to create novel adhesive hydrogels with desired properties. The project will explore biopolymers like Chitosan, Starch, Gelatin, and Gum, and explore Tannic acid-based adhesive systems. The goal is to develop cost-effective, biocompatible, and biodegradable adhesive hydrogels for tissue healing and repair.
