About
The objective is to prepare functionalized calix[4]arene molecules to act as components of a more complex system, allowing for single molecule sensing. The goal is to develop a cost-effective, highly selective, and lower sensing limit analytical method for pesticides recognition and heavy metal ions in agriculture. The paper-based fluorescence sensor and electrochemical device will be designed for on-site detection and determination of pesticides and heavy metals. The method will be validated in real samples such as soil, water, vegetables, and fruits. The results will be published in reputed international journals with high impact factors. Food safety is a major concern, and pesticides pose significant health risks to humans and wildlife. Fluorescence-based approaches are attractive due to their cost-effectiveness, rapid response, high modularity, and excellent sensitivity. The proposed project aims to develop a highly selective, sensitive, and cost-effective analytical device that can detect pesticides and heavy metals from soil, water, and food.
