BLDEDU, a university in Vijayapura, Karnataka, hosting a NIDHI i-TBI to stimulate the development of innovative products and technologies to address key issues and support sustainable growth in the Life Science Sector. The incubator provides technical services, mentoring support, and a mix of facility-based and virtual incubatees. The incubator also provides shared office facilities, business assistance, and access to specialized labs for product development and testing. The incubator will be structured as a Not-for-profit Section 8 Company with two separate interest-bearing bank accounts and a Project Evaluation Monitoring Committee.
The incubator aims to incubate 45 innovative ideas, commercialize them through tech start-ups, create 270 new jobs, and graduate 15 innovators. The incubator will organize events to strengthen the local innovation ecosystem and provide seed funds to help start and incubate start-ups.
