About
In the project, it is proposed to provide a restropective and real-time street-scale flood inundation forecasting system prototyped over Guwahti and Hyderabad, Telangana, developed entirely using open-source technology. The experimental forecasting system (DeepINDRA) shall involve coupling hyper-resolution (1Km2) physical modelling with cutting-edge AI/ML techniques to generate street scale (10 Km2) forecasts. It is expected that the project will have wide sectoral applications in disaster management and critical infrastructure protection.
