Achievements

Several samples of different types such as Deccan basalt bedrock and its weathered products such as soil depth profiles, as well as fluvial and lacustrine sediments were collected from the Dhom Lake watershed. Samples were prepared inside the clean lab at IISER Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh for determining their bulk geochemical and isotope compositions on Q-ICPMS and MC-ICPMS. However, these samples could not be measured due to long breakdowns of departmental facilities. In the absence of targeted data, sediment geochemistry of two other lake systems (1. Upper Lake Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Central India, and 2. Wular Lake, Kashmir Himalaya) was explored
