About
The research proposal aims about reactivity of ynones and its siblings with various nuclophiles and application towards the synthesis of bioactive selaginpulvilin, pareitropone and voreloxin along with their derivatives which can be achieved by developing effective method towards incorporating nucleophile with ynone through tandem cascade process. The method is expected to facilitate the synthesis of target molecule in minimum number of possible steps. success in the design of the aimed synthetic strategy shall provide the cost-effective approach for the construction of diversely functionalized natural product scaffolds that shall be tested for their biological performance. Use of economical and simple starting materials, easily available reagents and familiar chemical transformations are some of the advantages of this project.
