About
The research proposal focuses on assessing the impacts of climate change on land degradation in semi-arid regions of Andhra Pradesh, India. The study aims to determine the extent and impact of land degradation, particularly in arid and semi-arid areas. The research will use Remote sensing and GIs tools to analyze large-scale geographical data sets and develop mitigation strategies. Band rationing approaches, such as NDVI, sAVI, TGsI, LsT, NDBI, NDWI, and NDsI, will be used to identify areas where vegetation is changing due to climate change or land degradation. The study will also develop mitigation strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve environmental sustainability. The findings will be applicable to other regions facing similar environmental challenges, contributing to the global knowledge base on climate change and land degradation. The study will provide valuable information for policymakers and researchers worldwide.
