Project Overview

Ultrasonic reconfigurable helical sensors are to be designed using thin wires that can easily install in the fluid level measurement of tanks, test tubes, and critical industrial components. To conduct an FEM study for designing the helical sensor with fluid using all three wave modes simultaneously "longitudinal, torsional, and flexural modes." Then, experimentally measure fuel levels, temperature, properties, and adulteration detection. These measurements will be based on the helical sensor's drop-in amplitude and the change in time of flight of these wave modes. The helical sensor's sensitivity can improve by reconfiguring the sensor in different cases by varying sensor parameters (D, P, N, L, l). The change in fluid properties will also cause a change in fluid level. Hence, ultrasonic sensor techniques simultaneously measure fluid properties (temperature, fluid level, density, viscosity). The bulk wave sensor helps us find the fuel's density and its ultrasonic velocity. We want to use both sensors simultaneously to measure fluid properties. The ultrasonic sensors technique is more robust and very cost-effective. It does not require any expertise or mechanism compared to other instruments. The power plants, oil, and petrochemical industrial tanks need to monitor the fluid level and its properties continuously. Therefore, condition monitoring of the boiler and fuel tanks can do routinely to ensure safe working.
