About
symmetries have played a very special role in physics. One particular symmetry is the conformal symmetry, which interests a wider community in theoretical physics, including high energy, condensed matter and statistical physics. In a relativistic conformal field theory (CFT), space and time have the same scale transformation. In the project, we will be interested in another class of conformal field theories where time and space have different scaling. An important example of such non-relativistic conformal field theory (NRCFT) is the unitary fermi gas. The proposed research aims to advance our understanding of the non-relativistic unitary systems by exploring NRCFT using the various tools of relativistic conformal field theory.
