Research Projects

The proposed project aims to conduct a comprehensive integrated risk assessment due to climate change in the state through partnerships with experts and academic institutions. It will also research climate change and develop knowledge products, including nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation. The project will also promote climate adaptation strategies in development and planning, develop capacity building for relevant departments, and disseminate information, education communication, and information, education communication in real-life situations. The project will also expand the Knowledge Portal on climate change and establish a knowledge network with stakeholders within the state and country. The project will address various climate impacts experienced by the state, including the development of knowledge products on climate change, district-wise vulnerability assessments, and the implementation of risk and vulnerability studies for the agriculture sector. The project will establish a connection between science and policy, verify and test indigenous knowledge, and create an enabling knowledge environment for the scientific community and policy makers. The project will also address the lack of adequate climate resilient agriculture know-how and capacity building in the sector, enabling farmers and other stakeholders to take advantage of voluntary carbon markets.
