Research Projects

The proposed project aims to conduct a Comprehensive Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (VRA) of Nagaland, maintain a Climate Change Knowledge Repository System, conduct a critical assessment of climate change using climate modelling and projections, and use drone technology, Remote Sensing, and GIS for adaptation planning and research capabilities. It also aims to build linkages and collaborations with various research institutions, promote awareness and education on climate change, and organize climate change sensitization programs. The project will result in a Vulnerability and Risk Assessment map, a climate projections system, urban heat island maps, and climate conscious citizens. The project will also document traditional knowledge and practices, research and publications related to the objectives, and collaborate with research institutes for research and knowledge exchange. The project will also focus on community awareness programs, focusing on school students and youth.
