Project Overview
The proposed project aims to develop technology to address indigenous production concerns of critical minerals, including battery materials, cobalt, nickel, lithium, manganese, and rare earth elements (REE). The project will involve a multidisciplinary team from India and Australia, integrating technologies and resources between the two countries. The objectives include collection, characterisation, pre-feasibility investigation, development of process flow sheets, integration of complementary unit operations, bench scale testing, and feasibility report preparation. Critical minerals are essential for India's indigenous manufacturing plans, including the "Make in India" programme and sustained growth. The project will involve six milestones: sample collection and characterization, pre-feasibility tests, flow sheet development, integration of complementary unit operations, bench scale testing, and feasibility report preparation. The outcomes will include a database of resources, pre-feasibility test data, process flow sheets, bench scale testing, and feasibility report preparation.
