Project Overview
The project aims to design a highly isolated antenna array using Substrate Integrated Waveguide SIW for 5G and beyond networks. The goal is to provide low latency connectivity among users of 5G, extend the design for better gain and bandwidth performance, and load SIW-based isolation enhancement techniques to reduce mutual coupling effects and ECC. The proposed compact metamaterial-based substrate integrated waveguide-based antenna array is designed based on different data rates, modes of resonance, range of operation, and power handling. The design offers advantages such as lightweight, high gain, maximum radiation efficiency, low fabrication and maintenance cost, high quality factor Q, and improved power handling capacity compared to other technologies like μ-strip and CPW technology.
This research focuses on creating a highly isolated antenna array using substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) techniques for 5G and beyond networks. The proposed solution offers advantages like lightweight, high gain, maximum radiation efficiency, low fabrication and maintenance costs, high quality factor Q, and improved power handling capacity. The research also discusses material selection, design, and simulation using ANSYS HFSS, a commercial electromagnetic wave solver for scalable electromagnetic simulation of antennas and IC package modeling.
