The project aims to organize science exhibitions and lectures to raise awareness about communicable diseases in schools in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The project will involve five camps, workshops, poster exhibitions, expert lectures, and a science essay competition. The project will be conducted in English and Hindi, with a total cost of 3354750/- for a year. Kanpur Nagar district has a population of 4,581,268 as per the 2011 Census, with 2,459,806 males and 2,121,462 females. The average sex ratio in the district is 862, with 65.8 people living in urban areas and 34.2 in rural areas. The average literacy rate in urban areas is 82.1, while in rural areas it is 74.7. The project will focus on rural government schools in Kanpur to educate students about communicable diseases. The target groups are 2000 direct and 15,000 indirect beneficiaries. The project will last six months, with an approach and methodology that includes meetings with school headmasters, finalizing dates, organizing events, inviting guests, organizing events, and preparing reports. The project will also involve science teaching to rural students, health awareness programs, and science fairs. The project will involve a clear description of roles and responsibilities, including principal investigator, project associate, project assistant, and clerk. The project will also involve meeting with principals, invitations to experts, meetings with school heads, and monitoring office staff.
