Project Overview
DNA functions largely depend on the interaction of DNA molecules with other molecules, with DNA sequence and structure playing a crucial role. Graph theory-based interaction network analysis helps understand these relationships, including protein stability, dynamics, enzymatic activity, allosteric regulation, signal transduction, and protein kinetics. This study proposes evaluating the nucleotide interaction network of the genome sequence and mapping structure-function correlation. The strength of the DNA network in functionally important genomic regions will be used to develop a machine-learning model to predict functional hotspots in unannotated genomic regions. This analysis provides insights into the specific role of specific DNA sequences in the genome and can reveal DNA reactivity.
