About
A new concept has been proposed for the enantioselective construction of C–O bond via transition-metal catalysis using carboxylic acids. The work will be extended to using other O, N, S, P-nucleophiles as well as carbon nucleophiles to react with various electrophilic metal-π-allyl complexes. To achieve the best optimized results, new chiral ligands will be designed and synthesized. The proposed concept would be able to avail important outcomes to overcome the existing shortcomings, i.e. substrate engineering, use of expensive catalyst, formation of stoichiometric amount of toxic by-product.
