Project Overview
The study aims to synthesize functionalized diarylmethanes and triarylmethanes using C-C bond forming reactions using less expensive p block metal precursors. It also plans to use a single pot method with Fe/Zn metal instead of Sn. The researchers propose a condensation reaction between photoactive/electroactive substituted aldehyde and arenes for triarylmethane derivatives. They also propose using the radical-radical recombination method to create small organic molecules.
