Project Overview

Feto-maternal monitoring has been traditionally done using methods like cardiotocogram, topography, ultrasound, and magneto-cardiography. However, these methods have limitations such as real-time, noninvasive, and long-term use. A new technique, based on bio impedance (impedance plethysmography), is proposed to overcome these limitations. This non-invasive technique uses bio impedance principles to provide real-time information about fetal morphological parameters. The system includes a data collection system for morphological and physiological data, using an appropriate algorithm and basic sensors connected to basic care. Additional imaging features include real-time sensors for heart rate, oxygen sensors, and heart rates of both the mother and fetus. The main goal is non-intrusive, real-time monitoring, as fetal monitoring is crucial in early human development and helps identify risks and difficulties in care during pregnancy. Improvements in both conditions are needed for continuous monitoring of fetal comfort and other applications.
