About
The multimodular donor-acceptor based Pheonothaizine derivatives will be designed and synthesized using coupling and Prato reactions. The yanmide functionalized phenothiazine derivatives will show solid state emission in the NIR-region, while the fullerene acceptor and TCNE/TCNQ acceptors will induce strong charge transfer. The secondary acceptor will extend electronic absorption into the NIR region with low HOMO-LUMO gap, a crucial criterion for developing high efficiency organic photovoltaic (OPV) systems. The proposed multi-modular donor-acceptor systems will fill the knowledge gap and enable the development of highly efficient materials for optoelectronics and imaging applications, a challenge faced at both national and international levels.
