This proposal proposes a unified synthetic strategy for the asymmetric total synthesis of norditerpene dilactones. The route involves a cascade palladium-catalyzed dienylation, intramolecular Diels-Alder reaction, and sequential methylations. Substrate-controlled functionalization will ensemble the synthesis. The proposal could significantly impact the synthetic community by demonstrating an efficient method for synthesizing these biologically relevant and structurally complex natural products.
