Project Overview

In the emerging applications, the edge devices are deployed in a space constraint environment. In turn demands the fully integrated SoC to make it small form factor. Further the power consumption of these edge devices are reduces to few µW and motivates the researcher to incline towards the on-chip solution for RF energy harvesting systems. Thus in this proposal, a hybrid rectifier is proposed to obtain high Power Conversion Efficiency for a wide input power range using a single-feed input, i.e., a single-ended antenna. To maximise the energy from the incident RF source, the system automatically configures to the proper power routes. The aspects of the proposed system are; 1) A low-pass and high-pass on-chip impedance matching network, 2) an efficient power path with a regular Vth MOS rectifier for high input power and a low Vth MOS rectifier for low input power,.
