Project Overview
The project aims to develop an information extraction and summarization system for Oncology, utilizing recent advances in generic text summarization techniques to generate short summaries of medical reports. Query-specific techniques will be used to generate summary based on the doctor's intent, allowing for the selection of relevant documents from a large number of electronic health records (EHR). This system will help doctors efficiently assess the patient's context and reduce the time spent on reading all patient reports.
