About

Microwave-assisted reactions are a green chemistry technique that reduces reaction time and increases atom economy through rapid collision. This method allows polar solvents to boil at higher boiling points for stable products, such as water. Researchers have published their research on microwave irradiations in ACS, RSC, and WILEY. They have contributed significantly to the literature survey for thioureas of benzimidazole, with exceptional results using substituted thioureas. They plan to use substituted-(benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)-3-phenylthiourea with various starting materials for the synthesis of novel thiaza and thiadiaza benzimidazole heterocyclic compounds. They also plan multicomponent reactions of substituted diphenylthiourea with isatin and various starting materials for novel thiaza-indoline heterocyclic compounds. They have a small library of anticancer heterocyclic compounds and are screening new heterocycles for anticancer activity. They have reported data of good anti-cancer agents against human lung cancer. The current work plan is based on previous research and aims to synthesize novel thiaza benzimidazole heterocycles, thiadiaza benzimidazole heterocycles, and thiaza-indoline heterocyclic compounds for their important anticancer activities.
