About
The research proposal aims to explore spin-dependent transport phenomena through magnetic helix systems, a relatively unexplored area within spintronics. This field focuses on manipulating spin in electronic devices, which have potential applications in quantum computing, energy-efficient computation, and high-density data storage. Helical molecules have become a promising candidate for studying spin-dependent transport phenomena due to their nanoscale size and unique structure. The proposed research aims to investigate the interplay between spin-orbit coupling and magnetic interactions in helical systems, as well as the spin-dependent transport through helical molecules with antiferromagnetic ordering. Antiferromagnetic systems have a zero net magnetic moment, providing advantages for spintronic device development. The researchers aim to explore the spin filtration efficiency of systems where disorder is introduced in the magnetic moments or the magnetic moments are arranged in a way that results in zero net magnetic moment. The research also aims to investigate the spin diffusion significantly influenced by electron-electron scatterings, as there are few works on interacting helical structures. The work will be dedicated to exploring this area through kinetic theory or master theory, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of spin-dependent transport phenomena in helical systems.
