About
Efforts will be focused to design and synthesize new nitrogen enriched hierarchically porous carbon materials containing ultra-small metal nanoparticles (UsM NPs) of cheap and abundant non-noble metals (Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Co-Ni, Cu-Co) from mesoporous covalent imine polymers. Utilization of UsM nps as electrocatalysts for sensitive and selective electrochemical based sensor for determination and estimation of nitrates in food and water. Attempts will be made to optimize the carbonization temperature and metal ion loading in the materials to attain perfect electrochemical based sensor to achieve high selectivity and sensitivity.
