About
The aim of this proposal is to develop pharmaceutically important spirocyclic molecules (1,4-dioxa, furane, pyrane-cyclohexanone), by [4+2] and [3+2] annulation through 1,6 conjugate addition of para- quinone methide with various nuclephiles or electrophiles (diol and halohydrin). These molecules are drugs and drug like properties. This proposed work envisioned to synthesize indane and carbocyclic compounds synthesis through [4+1] cyclyzation over novel type of Pd catalysed cross coupling of cyclopropanols with 2-Br-p-QMs followed by 1,6-conjugate addition reaction. Finally, VLPC studies of the p-QMs will be utilized for sunlight harvesting and related green, sustainable construction of complex molecular scaffolds. The bio-activity of these novel synthesized compounds will be carried out. Furthermore the synthetic scope of these methods will be extensively explored.
